With close to 365 days of flawless weather, outdoor dining is a year-round occurrence in Los Angeles, and even more so during a pandemic. And now that summer is officially here, there’s nothing like a lively patio, especially in the power-lunch centers of Beverly Hills and Century City, where the majority of talent agencies and entertainment law firms are perched.
Beverly Hills resident Arnie Mills celebrated his 100th birthday at a June 28 party at Nua Restaurant. Mills was the personal manager of legendary performers Vikki Carr, OC Smith and Bobby Vee. During the festivities, Arnie “stood for three hours, greeted more than 50 people and still wanted to go out afterwards,” his son Adam Mills told the Courier.
Yoav, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a private chef. I came to California three years ago with my girlfriend, Tal, who became my wife 🙂 I cook for people in their kitchens, in their house. From cooking to one person, to big events. My biggest was 400 guests. As a private chef, unlike a cater company, I make my food from the best ingredients and usually make all the preparation by myself. Trying to build a menu to each one of my clients, considering limits, needs, or wishes. I love to cook. I love making people happy.
